Today in Ukraine there’s a state-owned network delivering television and radio programs to the radio and television broadcast stations. It is BRT Concern network of microwave relay links. The network comprises of 323 radio relay stations, and the total length of microwave radio relay links is over 12 000 km.
BRT Concern is continuously working over modernization of the radio relay links by means of equipment upgrade or replacement.
Currently BRT Concern’s microwave networks includes over 600 km of digital radio relay links with capacity from 34 Mbit/s to 360 Mbit/s and about 7,000 km of digital communication channels with transmission speed of 2 to 34 Mbit/s are arranged on the existing analog radio-relay system.
Third party telco operators place their equipment on BRT Concern’s facilities.
In the most regions of Ukraine BRT Concern provides broadcasting of regional digital channel MX-5.
